#1 FYP Meeting

23 April 2012

Members Present: Illawarra, Wan Yee, Diana, Marzie
Supervisor Present: None

Objective of Meeting:
Understanding each topic briefs, Brainstorming on ideas and game concepts to fit the requirements and constraints stated.

Content of Meeting:
The team brainstormed on all the 4 topics given,

1. CAAS
2. Fables/Mythological
3. Global Game Jam
    - Figuring out what the logo meant which is never-ending/mortality idea.
4. Panasonic/SIA

Ideas are stated below.

CAAS
#1 Parking Planes
Help park the planes by guiding them into their slots without going off track or colliding into any obstacles; walls, other planes, people, vehicles

#2 "Scanner" Game (Instinct-Based)
Bags will be scanned through the scanner and the player will have to use their instincts to check which bags contain prohibited items.

#3 Puzzle Bobble Concept
Matching the different cargos to the correct planes.

#4 Bags & Commuters Matching Game
Help get the commuters their bags without the area getting congested with commuters.


FABLES/MYTHOLOGICAL
#1 Book-like Game
Digital Book-like game, players will be able to decide what to do

#2 RPG Battle-on Concept
Similar to Battle-on Gameplay, players will be able to control and customize their own character, etc.
(Haven't decided on which Myths to choose.)


GLOBAL GAME JAM
#1 Snake Labyrinth
Players will control the snake from portal to portal to get to the end point.

#2 Snake Maze
Aerial view of the maze. Players will have to guide the snake to the end of the maze which holds the highest points. They will then move on to the next level, accumulating the points they gain at each level.

#3 Pipe Game Concept
Literally the pipe game itself, whereby players will have to connect the pipes and let the water flow.


PANASONIC/SIA
#1 Diner-Dash Concept
Manage the airport management and maintain it's standard. Complete game objectives, level by level game.

#2 Guitar Hero/Audition Concept
Pressing the right arrows and coordinating it to the arrows shown in the screen to produce a message that relates to the airport management/services.


Meeting's Conclusion:
Managed to brainstorm a few ideas and will work on choosing the best two ideas from each briefs during the next meeting.
